Everyone loves monkey bread. Ham mixed with gooey cheese which is a classic combination. This savory bread in scallion-garlic butter is easy to make thanks to refrigerated biscuit dough. It’s so good!
Ham and Cheese Monkey Bread is a great crowd pleaser for kids and adults. It’s great for an afternoon snack, an easy lunch, or a party appetizer. The Honey Mustard Sauce is the perfect dipping sauce for the garlic-green onion butter baked into the bread. So good! I had a leftover loaf and sliced it like bread, then toasted it. YUM!!!
WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE HAM OR DON’T HAVE IT IN THE REFRIGERATOR?
- If you’re not a fan of ham or don’t have any on hand, you can leave it out and just make a cheesy monkey bread. Have fun with it! Change the shape of the pan by using a bundt pan or a square or oval baking dish. Just make sure that it is a 5 cup pan or dish. To check, fill it up with 5 cups of water. (Don’t throw the water away, water a plant with it). If it fills up almost to the top then it will work.
CAN THE RECIPE BE DOUBLED?
- Absolutely! Find a pan or baking dish that will fill up to 10 to 12 cups of water, such as a bundt cake pan. The doubled recipe will serve up to 12 people.
