These are gooey and chocolatey without being overly sweet. Oreo cookies and rice krispies treats are a match made in heaven!
I cannot tell you how much I love these! They are like rice krispies treats on steroids. Surprisingly the Oreos don’t make it too overly sweet. The cookies just add a perfect chocolatey crunch to the bars. You can get really creative with these because Oreo now has a zillion different flavors to choose from.
HOW TO MAKE OREO RICE KRISPIES TREATS
- Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with non-stick spray; set aside.
- Cut the Oreos into fourths or crush in a large ziploc bag.
- In a large stockpot or dutch oven, melt butter over medium-low heat.
- Add the marshmallows and melt, stirring constantly, until the marshmallows are almost all melted.
- Turn off the heat and remove the pot from the heat.
- Gently stir in the rice krispies cereal and Oreos scraping the bottom to incorporate all of the melted marshmallow evenly.
- Pour into the greased pan and lightly press down to make the treats even.
- Press a few of the reserved cut Oreos on top.
- Let cool before cutting.
- Enjoy!

- Room temperature: Store in an airtight container or cover dish in plastic wrap for up to 3 days.
- Freezer: Tightly wrap and store in a freezer container or ziploc for up to 1 month.

- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 20 oz marshmallows, miniature or regular
- 8 cups rice krispies cereal
- 25-30 Oreo cookies, each cut into fourths or crushed (set aside a handful for the top)
