White Vanilla Icing

White Vanilla Icing drizzles perfectly over any bundt, loaf cake, or cinnamon rolls. It’s a light icing without being overly sweet. Replace the cream cheese frosting with the White Vanilla Icing on my Banana Bundt Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.

Can you imagine a cinnamon roll without the glossy White Vanilla Icing dripping from it?! The icing is one of the best things about cinnamon rolls!!! Icing is very versatile and can be used on so many pastries, sweet rolls, and cakes. This is a great recipe to keep on hand and can easily be made thinner or thicker. After icing the baked goods make sure to store them in the refrigerator.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ICING AND FROSTING?

  • ICING: Icing is thin, glossy, and sugary because it is sugar-based. It is used to glaze or drizzle over pastries, danish, cinnamon rolls, or cakes.
  • FROSTING: Frosting is generally thick but spreadable and cream-based. It is used to frost the outside of cakes and tops of cupcakes.
